Terms of Use
Last updated: 8 October 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and ROOIEE (“ROOIEE”, “we”, “us”) for use of https://rooiee.com, the Make ROOIEE configurator, and any related custom product or enquiry services. By using the site you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Return Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the site. If a mandatory consumer law in your country (including the EU Consumer Rights Directive, UK Consumer Rights Act, Australian Consumer Law, or similar rules) gives you rights that cannot be waived, those rights prevail over anything in these Terms.
1. Who may use the site
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your country, to request or purchase a custom product. If you use the site for a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.
2. The site is a showcase and enquiry tool
The website and 3D configurator let you explore designs and send us interest or order details. Displayed products, textures, colors, and hardware are visual guides. Handmade goods and screen differences mean the finished item may vary slightly from the on-screen preview. Embroidery shown in the form is added after purchase and may not appear on the 3D model.
Prices, if shown, are estimates or market tests only unless we confirm a written quote. A contract for a custom collar or leash is formed only when we accept your order in writing (including email) and, where payment is required, when payment is received as agreed.
3. Custom products
ROOIEE collars and leashes are made to order for a specific pet and design. Once we start production, the item is a bespoke product made to your specifications. You are responsible for choosing a safe size and for the accuracy of measurements, names, and other details you send.
You must not request text, images, or designs that infringe someone else’s rights or that are unlawful, hateful, or pornographic. We may refuse or cancel an order that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or the law.
4. Orders, payment, and shipping
Order steps, lead times, and shipping options will be confirmed when you place or we accept an order. Title and risk in the goods pass to you on delivery to the address you give us, except where consumer law says otherwise.
You are responsible for any customs duties, import VAT, or local taxes charged in your country unless we expressly agree to include them. Delivery dates are estimates.
5. Returns and cancellations
Because items are custom made, we do not offer refunds as a standard policy. Please read our Return Policy. If you are unhappy, contact us and we will try to make things right.
If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK, the usual 14-day cooling-off right does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalized (EU CRD Art. 16(c); UK CCRs regulation 28). That does not affect your rights if goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose under mandatory consumer law. Australian Consumer Law guarantees also cannot be excluded where they apply.
6. Product safety
Use collars and leashes as intended, check fit regularly, and do not leave a pet unattended with a leash attached to a fixed object. Remove damaged hardware. ROOIEE products are not toys and are not designed to restrain a pet in a vehicle unless we expressly sell a product for that use. Follow local animal-welfare and leash laws.
7. Intellectual property
The site, brand, logos, photographs, 3D models, text, and design system are owned by ROOIEE or our licensors. You may not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or commercially reuse them without our written permission, except for ordinary browsing or as allowed by mandatory copyright exceptions.
If you submit a name, idea, or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it solely to communicate with you and to make the product you requested. You confirm you have the right to use that content.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the site, attempt unauthorized access, or introduce malware.
- Use bots or scrapers in a way that overloads or copies the service.
- Impersonate others or send us false information.
- Use the configurator or our brand to mislead other customers.
We may suspend access if we reasonably believe you breached these Terms.
9. Disclaimers
The site is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer guarantees.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, ROOIEE is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the site or a product, even if we were advised they were possible.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the site or a product is limited to the amount you paid us for the product giving rise to the claim, or USD 100 if you have not paid us, except where liability cannot be limited (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or defective products under mandatory product-liability law).
11. Indemnity
You will indemnify ROOIEE against claims, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising from content you submit, your misuse of the site, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent we caused the loss by our own negligence or where consumer law prohibits this.
12. Governing law and disputes
If you are a consumer, you may bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence, and you keep the protection of mandatory laws of that country. We may also bring a claim in those courts.
If you are using the site as a business (not as a consumer), these Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, excluding conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Hong Kong have exclusive jurisdiction.
EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s ODR platform. We are not obliged to use alternative dispute resolution unless the law requires it.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page. The “Last updated” date will change. Changes apply to later use of the site and to orders accepted after the update. For an order already accepted, the Terms in force at acceptance apply, except where the law says otherwise.
14. General
If a court finds a clause unenforceable, the rest still applies. These Terms are the entire agreement for use of the site, together with any written order confirmation. You may not assign your rights without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a business transfer. A failure to enforce a right is not a waiver.
